Data Considerations

No modifications have been made to the data set from its original form from the source.
The numerator is the number of infants that underwent newborn hearing screening among all infants born to Colorado residents who gave birth in Colorado. The denominator is the number of live births to Colorado residents who gave birth in Colorado (births to Colorado residents that occurred outside the state are not included in the denominator). Data are calculated by the county of residence of the mother.
